The Arduino Nano is a compact and versatile board built around the ATmega328 (for Arduino Nano 3.0) or ATmega168 (for Arduino Nano 2. x) microcontrollers.

For instance, the NANO V3 utilizes the ATmega328 microcontroller, boasting a diminutive size that pairs perfectly with solderless wiring setups like breadboards. It mirrors the structure of Arduino Uno/Duemilanove, albeit in a different form factor. Notably, it incorporates extra Analog In pins, namely A6 and A7. The PCB’s size reduction is achieved by mounting components on both sides.

This board employs the CH340G chip as a UART-USB converter. The CH340G is a cost-effective solution that, operating at 12MHz, consistently delivers reliable data transfer results.

Powering the NANO V3 is a breeze – you can use a micro-USB port (with a capacity of up to 500mA) or an external power source of 6-9V through the VIN output. Alternatively, you can use a 5V external power source for a regulated 5V output. The system smartly selects the power supply with the highest voltage.
